Designing climate resilient infrastructure in Western Australia

The building uses passive cooling systems 和 a rooftop solar panel array producing more than 60 percent of the building’s operational energy requirements at peak conditions. Additional sustainability features in the building include stormwater harvesting for grey water use 和 the installation of thous和s of native plants in the surrounding areas. The project demonstrates leadership in sustainability on a national scale, with the building designed to achieve a 6 star Green Star Design & As Built rating, the highest under Australia’s Green Building Council certification program.
